Who I Am.
I was born in January 1993, the same day bassist Bill Wyman announced he would quit The Rolling Stones and police constable Sanjay Gawade was found openly carrying a sword at the peak of the Hindu-Muslim riots in Bombay. A quick Google search informed me that I share my birthday with Mr. Bean, Sting's wife and the developer of the theory of embryotectonics. Yes, it was one of those days.
It was also my father's birthday. One of those days, I reiterate. :')
I say all this with baited breath in anticipation of a brilliant birthday gift. Surprisingly, I'm not as materialistic as that sentence makes me sound. You can gift me sand from your garden in a ziplock packet and you will be at the receiving end of a crooked-toothed smile and a spine-crushing hug.
I love birthdays simply because they celebrate life.
This is all leading to the most important thing I could tell you about myself:
I live my life in exclamation points.
[And ':)' emoticons.]
Easily amused, easier tricked, I live with eyes wide open in amazement at everything I see around me. Literature, music, cinema, world history, travel, old-fashioned maps, originality, space, coffee, human behavior, dogs, food, cultural edifices, Papa's Hugo Boss cologne, Mumma's wardrobe, and photographs of all the aforementioned excite me.
I love a good story, wherever she may be.
Uniquely posited in my teenage years and ensconced in a relatively protected environment , I recognize my fair share of character blemishes. I try to be brave as I try decimating my flaws, as the world is as open to me right now as it ever will be. I over-analyse a statement only as much as I under-understand a joke. I like being correct and yet, I like being proven completely wrong. I hold rationality and open-mindedness in high regard. I am an entrepreneur now, and it is as exciting and crazy as that sounds. It's safe to say I love risks.
Look, this blog is not an amalgamation of my best, most mulled-over writing, rather, a collection of posts that at various points of time, urged me to laugh, learn, love and undoubtedly, think. This is an age of enlightenment for everyone except Voltaire.
Read on I as figure (parts of) my way through my scary, passionate, self-recriminating and courageous teenage years in this public space.
Lots of love :)
