Drive.

'If I drive for you, you give me a time and a place. I give you a five-minute window, anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours no matter what.
I don't sit in while you're running it down; I don't carry a gun... I drive.'

Watch it. Watch it now.
The neon lights. The brilliant soundtrack. The silences.
Science nerds: This is the white blinding light of magnesium reacting with oxygen, made into a movie.
Girls: If you liked Ryan Gosling after Crazy Stupid Love, you'll love him in this one.

Ryan Gosling picks really interesting movies. Have you seen him in Lars and the Real Girl? On paper, the character's a cold fish but on film, he is endearing and charming. That's sort of true for a lot of his roles. Half Nelson was amazing, and so was The Believer. I'm really starting to admire this guy. Havent seen this one yet, but really intent on it now.

TUIB,As I was reading the post,i was thinking of leaving a comment on an indie quirky film of Ryan Gosling which I loved:-)

Nitisha,If anyone had told me I would one day be moist eyed during a movie about a man and his blow-up doll, I would have called them a liar.Must watch movie.I can't believe he didn't score an Academy Award for his work

Arumugam, in a lot of his movies, he kinda does this slowly-spreading half-sardonic smile that starts at one corner of his mouth and goes on to crinkle his eyes. His micro-expressions are so great! :D I think he is, hands down, the best American actor of his generation, really. And somehow these really great indie movies never even get nominated at the Oscars. I think the Independent Spirit Awards are better that way. And Sundance, of course!

KARISHMAAAAAAAAAA! You know when I read "he kinda does this slowly-spreading half-sardonic smile that starts at one corner of his mouth and goes on to crinkle his eyes" I had a miniature heart-attack because he does the EXACT same thing in Drive. Maybe I'm this excited because I haven't seen any of his other movies, but I absolutely loved it :D
