Let me tell you something about myself.
I'm quite possibly the most restless and impatient person you'll meet. If I'm just sitting somewhere waiting, I'll be minutely observing every detail of the room and people around, while skimming idly through three-month old sports magazines. I hate sitting at home and killing time by flipping channels and landing upon an old Bollywood movie named "Meri Biwi ka Jawab Nahi". :/
Maybe this whole restlessness thing has something to do with my nomadic childhood.
Let's take a look at the statistics.
I'm 17 years old. I have lived in 6 cities.(Vijaywada, New Delhi, Coimbatore, Pune, Kolkata, Mumbai.) I have studied in 9 schools. I have traveled with my family to numerous places in India, and then some abroad. And, as a child, I had a penchant for getting lost at airports and shopping malls!
Is that what makes me so restless in one place? The aforementioned psychological baggage from all that moving around as a kid?
Is that what spurs on my love for travelling and exploring?
What is is that drives me to wander? What engenders this desire to discover a new place?
Honestly speaking, I don't care much for the reasons why . I'm no Freud, and even if I was, he said that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar too.
I guess it's just the innocent joy in rambling around and chancing upon the hidden waterfall, or the brown monkey that excites me so much.
When I start earning, these are the places I'd love to visit.
Iceland, Greece, Nigeria, Egypt, Peru and Italy.
And of course, I'll be humming "Where the Streets Have No Name" all the way there. :)
The wanderlust inside me can't be ignored today.
Today, I want to soar.
Even if it's just in Andheri, whose population, by the way, is more than that of Greenland!
P.S. I got admission into the B.B.A program at N.M.I.M.S, which was my first preference. Could I be happier? :)
