All that was.

It's only Tuesday. The week has just begun. Yet I find it easy enough to say- I've had a rough week.
I don't want to talk about it. Not here, at least.

My issues are completely irrelevant in the larger scheme of things, right?

The Commonwealth Games are sprinting towards disaster. Snakes are being found in hotel rooms. Stray dogs sleep on the king-sized beds within the Village, politicians sleep on king-sized beds in the comfort of their mansions.

Verdict on the Babri Masjid title suit is to be delivered by the Allahabad High Court on September 30th. Pathetic how a case with such easily identifiable culprits has languished in lack-luster courts for almost eighteen years.

Aaah, life.

P.S. I finished a 4.5 kilometer marathon on Sunday.:)

P.P.S. Dealing with 'writer-rejection/inadequacy/what-made-me-think-I-could-write-so-well-anyway/why haven't I started studying yet/why don't I have a job yet' syndrome.
Yeah, not the best syndrome out there. :-/

The third message from heaven...

If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Yay for the marathon! :) I'm running/walking(?) in the half-marathon this year! I am determined and I have started training!

As for the CWG, pretty much every Indian knows how Indian public works are handled, so I have to confess I wudnt be so surprised by the whole thing coz collapsing bridges arent really a novel happening..but the fact that we're effectively declaring to the world what a terribly inefficient, corrupt third-world country we are, is just really humiliating to contemplate. I know its double standards but I really cant help it.

And the dispute over the ownership of that piece of land in Ayodhya has been in court since 1949. So that's six decades, not two. Justice delayed and denied, what?

Hope the week'll turn out better than it's started off! Dont worry abt the "why havent i started studying yet" thing..I just finished my final year prelims and all was well! :)
